I too am surprised that the debate for this cycle path goes on. The road between Littlehempston and Totnes is a nasty stretch and I never allowed my sons to ride their bikes on it to get to Totnes. The cycle path would open up a very useful and beautiful route leaving the car behind. All exercise is good for us and cycling ranks high. It is also something that can be done as a family but needs to be in a safe environment and the cycle route would provide that.

Improving dedicated cycle path access to anywhere in the area has got to benefit the health and welfare of the community. I am a regular leisure cyclist and wholeheartedly support improved access to the Littlehempston area. Having cycled on the main road to Littlehempston and Bourton Lane a number of times the merits of a direct link to Totnes from Littlehempston are obvious. The link with the NCN can only be good news to extend the cycling possibilities in this area.
