Welcome to the South Devon Cycle Link Campaign.South-Devon-Cycle-Path-Campaign-Logo-green-on-white-for-web

Our campaign aims to: –

  • Reduce congestion and pollution in Totnes (the A385 now breaches recommended safe levels of pollution)
  • Create a safe cycle and walking route between Totnes and villages to the North and East.
  • Connect Totnes to the National Cycle Network – So far this campaign has prevented the route bypassing the town. Now we need to ensure it passing through Totnes.

To achieve this we need to establish shared access over the river Dart footbridge (Bulliver Bridge). This route would provide safe, direct, affordable and relatively flat access into Totnes. The route was unanimously backed by the County Council’s Highways and Traffic Orders Committee for the South Hams. All other options considered are compromised by issues like; busy road crossings, steep gradients and expensive infrastructure.
